Peg Villanueva, DVM, graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She worked as an associate veterinarian in mixed and small animal practices prior to purchasing a small animal clinic with her veterinarian husband. She earned her Master’s Degree in Public Health (General Epidemiology) from the University of Michigan. Her diverse career includes regulatory work in the horse-racing industry, several years as a shelter veterinarian, and eight years as adjunct faculty in the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine’s Program in Veterinary Technology. Dr. Villanueva has been the Program Manager for the Vet Tech Institute – Indianapolis since the program opened.
Mindy J. Moody, RVT, is the Program RVT and Technical Operations Manager at the Vet Tech Institute in Indianapolis.. She graduated from Purdue University’s School of Veterinary Medicine’s Vet Tech Program. Mindy began her career as an RVT teaching anesthesia in the surgery department of Purdue’s Veterinary teaching hospital. From there she moved into a surgical referral practice where she continued as an anesthetist. This hospital then opened an ER practice and Mindy worked as the manager of the ER practice for nine years. She has also had some large animal working experience as well. She has enjoyed a long, well-rounded career in veterinary medicine.
