The Veterinary Technology program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA).
The Veterinary Technician National Exam is used to evaluate veterinary technicians' skills and to award credentials. Only graduates of programs accredited by the AVMA CVTEA are eligible to take the exam.
The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) is a non-profit association that represents and promotes the profession of Veterinary Technology.
CVTEA accreditation of programs identifies those programs and institutions that provide quality education. It also benefits graduates by providing recognition and enhancing their prospects of employment mobility.
